We're glad you're here! Take your time exploring everything we have to offer. Whether you're learning about our mission or discovering ways to get involved, we hope you find value in our work.
G6 is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit proudly led by a U.S. Army Veteran.
*********************
At G6, we are dedicated to helping veterans and active duty service members get home safely.
The mental health challenges facing those who serve our country are all too familiar. Veterans and active duty service members often deal with the effects of trauma, depression, and PTSD. For those who have served over seas, the risk of these mental health conditions is significantly higher than for the general population.
Studies show that up to 30% of veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan suffer from mental health issues, making them more vulnerable to depression and suicide. We believe that no one who has served and protected our country should struggle alone. That is why G6 is here to help in one small but critical way- ensuring they get home safely.
G6 partners with local bars, restaurants, and clubs to offer a simple and effective service. If a bartender notices a veteran or active duty service member is too intoxicated to drive, they can immediately initiate a safe ride home through our program.
1. The bartender flags the individual who needs a ride
home.
2. The bartender schedules a ride through their
assigned service.
3. The member gets in the vehicle, and they are driven home- no questions asked.
The best part? The ride is completely free, covered by the G6 Program, which is funded by generous public donations.
The program is available at any participating bar, club, or restaurant. All rides must originate at an enrolled establishment and stay within city or town limits.
G6 relies entirely on public donations to keep our program running. Your contributions help us provide free rides and ensure our heroes always have a safe way to get home.
Every donation makes a difference. Help us continue our mission and make sure no one is left behind.
