The G6 Program mission, is to help our veterans, active service members & first responders get home safely.
Mental health disorders and depression aren't uncommon among veterans, armed service members and first responders, we all know this.
Most have been through hell serving our great country and protecting it, particularly among those who have served abroad, the likelihood of PTSD or related mental health conditions is significantly higher than among the standard population.
Studies suggest that 30% of veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan may have returned home with mental health issues that put them at a much higher risk for suicide and depression. Unfortunately, those same service members may not have consistent quality access to care that could successfully address all of their needs.

Any veteran, active service member or first responder that goes to an enrolled private or public bar and is flagged by the bar tender as being intoxicated and no longer able to drive responsibly will instantly become eligible for the program.
The bar tender flags the intoxicated member and then schedules a ride home using an electronic device. The ride share is scheduled to the facility and the member gets in the vehicle and the service drives them home.
The rides are automatically paid for by the G6 program, which is funded by public donations.
The rides must originate at an enrolled bar/club/restaurant & ride share can only travel within the city or town limits of Brick. Other surrounding towns being enrolled later in the year.
We are funded by public donations and are always looking for monetary help to keep the program financially stable.
